SirsiDynixInstitute.com - free seminar series

SirsiDynixInstitute.com - some great stuff here. I've got to go back and watch some of these. They usually run them at the same time we have our weekly reference meeting, so I never get to see them "live". But they always look interesting.

Who Owns What - Major Media Companies

Who Owns What

A neat little webpage from Columbia Journalism Review. It includes webpages for selected companies, a search tool, selected articles about media ownership. It also tells you how current the site is.

I notice it includes Dow Jones, Reuters, Reed Elsevier (but does not mention LexisNexis), and it does not include Thomson or Wolters Kluwer. Does somebody want to send them an update? ;-)

Focus is on radio, TV and newspapers. It does include Canadian media such as Rogers Communications, CanWest Global and Corus.
