He claims we are now out of the "Information Age" and into the "Recommendation Age". People can find lots of information on the web, but it really takes someone who knows what questions to ask. As professionals, we can help people figure out what they need to know and look for the answers.
Yup, I can see that on many different levels. This is probably why blogs are so popular these days!
